Moroccan Modern
In pursuit of transforming our client's quaint 123-year-old abode into a haven of both functionality and allure, DesignHouse was on a journey to cultivate an ambiance that harmonized efficiency with hospitality. With cherished memories from her formative years in the Middle East, the client harbored a penchant for the intricate tapestries and vibrant hues synonymous with Moroccan design, yet yearned for a serene space conducive to both conviviality and ease of maintenance.
In a departure from the conventional deep jewel tones of sapphire and emerald, DesignHouse crafted a symphony of warm, earthy shades intertwined with the ethereal essence of aqua, reminiscent of the crystalline azure depths of Mediterranean waters. Through meticulous attention to detail, sculptural lighting fixtures and a bespoke-patterned range hood were seamlessly integrated, infusing a contemporary twist with echoes of Moroccan opulence.
By demolishing the confining barriers separating the cramped kitchen from the ill-fitted laundry room, the blueprint of the space underwent a metamorphosis, birthing a sprawling culinary sanctuary that transcended mere utility. Ample cabinetry accommodated the culinary essentials, and sun-kissed windows were strategically introduced.
The relocation of the laundry facilities to the lavatory proved a stroke of ingenuity, affording copious storage for sundry supplies and unveiling the convenience of a retractable clothes drying rack. Within the confines of the rejuvenated bathing enclave, a luxurious steam shower emerged, evoking the essence of a jewel box, wherein every indulgence is savored amidst an ambiance of luxury and refinement.
