Founded by Shaun Minné LEED AP, DesignHouse specializes in creating innovative solutions for the built environment. For the past thirty+ years, Designhouse has been partnering with clients to define their goals and realize their dreams, always mindful of budgets and time constraints. Its holistic approach, blending both architecture and interiors into a seamless whole, spans residential, commercial, retail, and restaurant design.
Experienced with various styles, DesignHouse pivots on an inherently modern aesthetic. This includes the use of natural materials, a strong indoor/outdoor connection, and curated, pared-down color and finish palettes. Smart technology, passive solar design, and earth-friendly materials contribute to the idea of sustainable solutions. True sustainability takes more than recycled materials and renewable energy, however. Buildings must be designed to support and enhance their owner’s vision, work/lifestyle, and surroundings to stand the test of time. Most importantly, it must surprise, delight, and bring joy to its users.
About Shaun
The bright smell of lemon. A fistful of horse mane. That diamond glints on a perfect powder run. These are just some of the sensory details that prompt Shaun’s vibrant approach to life, art, and her passion for design. An accomplished fine artist, avid skier, horsewoman, cook, jeweler, tango lover, gardener, and sailor, Shaun brings to her design work an appreciation for the richness of personal expression. Blending the senses with the sensible - shaping spaces that are both individual and practical, both beautiful and functional - these are the elements of Shaun’s distinctive aesthetic honed over 30 years of experience. They are the root of a true collaboration with the client.
With a degree in Industrial Design, a Master's in Art Education, and experience working in large and small architectural and engineering firms, Shaun understands the complexities of complete, full-service design. Her integration of architecture, interiors, environmental design, graphics, and art produces spaces uniquely suited for work and lifestyle. Whether developing a restaurant or corporate space, creating a tiny home, or remodeling a kitchen or bathroom, Shaun views every project as an opportunity to find the spirit and tailor the space for each client’s needs.

David Quinn, founder of Summit Homes & Construction, is a second generation home remodeler. He learned the fundamentals of construction first-hand from his father and later, working for a large construction company as a rough and finish carpenter, he developed the technical aspects of home building. Fred Alexander :: Architect & Contractor
Fred Alexander, being a registered architect and contractor, understands design and construction from both sides, specializing in quality and cost control while interpreting the design goals of his clients. With over fifty years of design and construction expertise, he has headed hundreds of commercial and residential projects to successful completions across much of the United States. Fred and Shaun have collaborated on dozens of projects both residential and commercial for almost two decades and he continues to be a mentor and valuable support to the DesignHouse team.
