BAKER HISTORIC VICTORIAN :: DENVER
Located in the Historic Baker District of Denver, the renovation for this 135+ year old Victorian included gutting six hundred square feet of a previously renovated 1970’s cramped kitchen, largely unused sitting area and full bath. Original tall windows, decorative scroll iron floor heating grates, and oak flooring remained, contributing and integrating perfectly into the new design. Desiring a beautiful and functional space to store and display the owner’s many sets of dishes and mid-century teapots as well as easily accessible areas for spices, oils, cooking utensils, and equipment, the new kitchen takes advantage of the tall ceilings and overall large square footage creating the much needed storage. The renovation created a butler’s hallway, mudroom, bathroom, and large kitchen replacing the cramped and awkward layout returning the Victorian home back to its former glory.
