Artistic Guest Bath

Original artwork, slate walls, wood, steel, and linen combine to create an earthy, spa-like guest bathroom filled with ample light and private mountainside views. By reclaiming 15 square feet from the adjoining hallway, adding a tall window, and raising the flat 8’ ceiling to a 10’ cathedral height, the space now feels open and expansive.

As a family of artists and art lovers, they have filled the room with their own creations, including encaustic art, cold wax pieces, a terracotta bust, a hand-blown glass and forged steel lamp, a steel-framed mirror, and a handmade live-edge wood shelf. These are complemented by ceramic pieces collected from local artists and their frequent travels.

What was once a cramped 5x8 bathroom has been re-imagined into a unique, light-filled guest bath perfectly tailored to the family.
